Forehand & Backhand – Joerg S. (Germany)

It didn’t take long for me to become good friends with Tennis Vault Member Joerg Schafer from Frankfurt in Germany. I much enjoyed spending time with him and his family, and helping their tennis games. We even convinced his wife Christiane to start playing… from scratch!!… Joerg has played some tennis in the past, therefore had original classic wood racket style kind of strokes, which we revamped real fast to a more modern looking forehand and backhand. Although still “baking in the oven”, here a couple videos of how his new stroke is shaping up to look like, after he practices and substitutes the old muscle memory  :-)

Forehand – Christiane S. (Germany)

Well, all the boys in her family (husband and 2 sons) were playing tennis with coach Mauro and so excited about their sudden ultra fast improvement, so it became easy to convince Mama Christiane to come out there to the court and try it too, as she was missing out on having lots of fun and just didn’t know it yet. It was amazing, within 30 minutes she was hitting the ball correctly and inside the court most times, over the net and not spraying balls all over the place. After 45 minutes she knew the stroke from head to toe, from the ready position to finish, preparation to end of the follow through. Now it’s a matter of time (practice) and Christiane will be able to play together with her husband Joerg and her 2 sons Noah(14) & Joshua(9). Plus, little 2yr old Elena already has her own racket, wow, that’s awesome, go girl!! The Schafers, a true tennis family from Frankfurt!!

His current practice partner is ATP Challengers player Yuri Radomsky. We had a great time together, and he also gave me the opportunity to tweak a bit his basic strokes too, which was a blast because Yuri “rocks the ball”!! Check him out, enjoy the ball ripping!! :-)
